At The Law Office of Kristina Rojas-Stompel, PLLC, I am dedicated to assisting clients who have been charged with their first misdemeanor criminal offense and are looking to get their life back to normal. I am Kristina Rojas-Stompel, and my clients come to me because I have over ten years of prosecutorial experience that I leverage in my representation, developing strategies to help my clients.

I Focus On Class A Through Class C Misdemeanors

My practice is specifically built to assist clients who have been charged with class A through class C misdemeanors.  Class C is the lowest level of criminal misdemeanors, and encompasses acts such as:

  • Traffic violations (e.g. Speeding, Driving While License Invalid, etc.)
  • DUI as a minor
  • Theft of less than $100 in value
  • Public Intoxication
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Disorderly Conduct
  • Assault by Contact or Assault by Threat

Class A and B misdemeanors are the higher level of criminal misdemeanors and can include more serious offenses such as:

  • Theft between $100-$2,500
  • Assault resulting in bodily injury
  • Burglary of a Vehicle
  • Criminal Trespass
  • False emergency calls
  • Harassment
  • Possession of Marijuana

I also assist commercial drivers who are facing charges that could result in convictions on their driving history.  Due to the nature of their profession, my clients in those matters require a very strong defense as the rules are much stricter for commercial driver license (CDL) holders.

Pretrial Diversion And Deferred Adjudication Can Help You Get back To Your Normal Life

One of the options that are available to first-time offenders who qualify is pretrial diversion and deferred adjudication. These programs allow you to avoid having a trial as well as the most severe elements of your potential punishment in favor of a probationary period of supervision. In some situations, you can even have your crime removed from your record upon completion or not added at all.

My goal is always to get a result that meets my client’s goals, and for many of my clients having a clean record is important for their academic or professional careers. I regularly negotiate with the prosecution to try and get charges reduced or sealed for my clients so that those charges do not follow them in the future.
